GRACE, named in honor of R. T. Wilson’s sister, wife of Cornelius “Neily” Vanderbilt, III, celebrated her 92nd birthday at Palmetto Bluff in March 2005. She was built in 1913 by the New York Yacht, Launch & Engine Company of Morris Heights, New York. She has the unique distinction of being one of the last remaining examples of the early gas-powered yachts built prior to World War I. The layout above deck includes a Pilothouse and seating with awning and weather curtains. Below deck includes an intimate lounge with dining area, galley, owner’s stateroom, head and engine room. |

| Moreland Landing was built in September 2003 by well-known sculptor and craftsman, Wayne Edwards. He created a special one-of-a-kind venue for outdoor entertaining, sports and dining. All of the furniture in the Moreland Pavilion was handmade by Wayne and his son, Heath. Complete with an unbelievable stone fireplace, Moreland Pavilion affords spectacular views of the May River. Mr. Edwards has also designed and built an oyster pit for an old fashioned traditional Lowcountry oyster roast.
Also located at Moreland Landing is an incredible 5 story tree-house anchored to the banks of the May River that wraps around a centuries old Live Oak tree. The second level of the tree-house has a unique waterfront bar. |
