I knew it would be a challenge to arrange an 80th birthday party celebration for my mom who lives in York, from my home in VA, but the Homewood Suites made it all so easy! With a credit card I was able to reserve the event space nearly a year in advance since I was worried about a December birthday having to compete with holiday parties. The staff, especially Lauren, kept in contact with me via email and allowed me to visit the venue on one of my trips to the area. To keep matters simple, I opted to use their caterer and chose the food items from the menu they provided. They answered every question I had and provided everything I requested such as high chairs. All I had to do was show up on the day of the event. The caterer, Ginger Babies, was wonderful. They set up the buffet, showed me where the back-ups were and let us be. The food was very delicious and since they provided take home containers, we gladly ate the leftovers for days. The front desk staff made sure we didn't run out of ice and surprised us by bringing their mascot around to visit our guests. Since we celebrated on a Sunday afternoon we had very little interference from hotel guests. It was all around a wonderful celebration enjoyed by all. Thank you, Homewood Suites.
