The University Club is a full service Conference Center and Banquet Facility located in the heart of Oakland in Pittsburgh. Owned by the University of Pittsburgh, The University Club has re-opened in the Historic building which housed the private club since 1923.
The grand lobby and curved staircase have been restored, as well as the award winning architecture and design. The restoration, combined with 21st Century renovations, result in a unique facility that is sure to become a premier destination for events in Pittsburgh.
Now open to the public, the club offers elegant settings for wedding receptions and special events. A rooftop terrace offers a unique location for events with expansive views of Oakland.
With 2 ballrooms and 11 meeting rooms, the University Club can accommodate a formal gala, a small meeting, a conference with breakout sessions or a lecture. The facility offers state of the art meeting capabilities, including drop down screens, blackout capabilities and audio/visual equipment.
The University Club will also operate the region’s first Brioche Doreé, French Café & Bakery. Brioche Doreé will offer French pastries, scones, specialty coffee, gourmet sandwiches on fresh baked breads and bistro style salads.
