"Our Rustic Wedding", An Eventective User from South Hills
I searched forever trying to find a venue for our Wedding that suited our personalities. We wanted something Rustic, Reasonable and somewhere our family/friends could all enjoy. The Mayernik Center was perfect! The Stone Fireplace was beautiful, all the windows created an open feeling, and allowed the wrap around porch to be an extension of the hall. This allowed the guys who wanted to avoid the dance floor and smoke cigars, and girls who just needed to step outside to get some air/pull their men in for a slow dance to always be able to see/hear everything goin on inside. The bar was huge, a great picture oppontunity and a place to hang out still with view of the dance floor. The Coordinator/Caterer's were extremely helpful, food was great and reasonalbly priced. We even took home all the leftovers for a picnic the next day! Anywhere you can bring your own liqour is a MAJOR Plus! :)The Mayernik was beautfil itself, but also allowed us to decorate with our own touches - candles on the mantle, clothes lines of pictures by the bar - mason jars EVERYWHERE! It was also nice to not have to go traveling for photo opportunities - we used the stair outfront, the bridge (by the pool) the stream, and the large iron Bridge to Animal Friends :) Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we got soooo many compliments it was the best reception EVER! I'd HIGHLY RECCOMMEND! xoxo
