About McCrossen's Tavern

McCrossen’s Tavern is ideally situated in the Art Museum Area. We regularly host events with clients from the incredible new Barnes Museum located a block away. Directly adjacent to the internationally important Barnes collection of Impressionist Art, is the newly renovated Rodin Museum. The Rodin collection includes “The Thinker” and the restored bais relief “The Gates of Hell”, as well as various studies in soap showing the development of Rodin’s works. Group events such as cocktail parties and club functions enjoy our proximity and flexibility to cater to their schedule. Across the Ben Franklin Parkway on Logan Square, lies the Franklin Institute and the Natural History Museum. Always informative experiences for children and adults alike, McCrossen’s Tavern is open through the afternoon to receive guests with lunch or mid-day events. Logan Square is also home to the Free Library of Philadelphia. Regular speaking events, readings, and author signings are held at the Library. Our cocktail parties are perfect for the groups headed a block away to these events. At the other end of the Parkway, Eakins Oval and the Philadelphia Museum of Art are the gateway to the Fairmount area of the city. McCrossen’s Tavern is located nearby to host your event, whether it’s an engagement party or rehearsal dinner, a small wedding, or a birthday party! We are also an excellent choice for business meetings, with the opportunity to section off the dining room semi-privately, or bring your team in for an after-work cocktail party to celebrate their latest accomplishments! We look forward to hearing from you and discussing your event, whether a custom-built affair that your guests will talk about for years to come, or a casual event for friends!
