We recently held a baby shower event for 50 people at this wonderful venue which is located outside of New Hope, Pennsylvania. The Black Bass Hotel is an exquisite old stone building, waterfront to the Delaware RIver/Canal, with adjacent woods and a historic ironwork footbridge across the water. This noble venue is lush with its majestic stone, unique architectural elements, burnished woodwork and floor-to-ceiling windows that even when dining in, you feel like your are waterside. The cuisine is sophisticated but not pretentious, and each entree choice at our event was delicious. The event space provided both indoor/outdoor access, with a sprawling deck offering comfy couches and tables which provided a relaxed atmosphere conducive to mingling, celebrating, and meeting with both new and old friends. The staff in attendance for our party were Amy and Susan, both of whom are very experienced. They sincerely cared about giving us top-shelf service; no detail was overlooked. I must also state that the event manager, Fiona, was truly amazing and indispensably supportive. Fiona made sure that our party was well-strategized and organized; she answered all questions quickly and confidently. When we raised some issues for special needs guests regarding food limitations and accessibility issues, Fiona deftly allayed our every concern. From the moment I met with Fiona to start planning the event, it was abundantly clear that the Black Bass Hotel strives to provide an unparalleled, first-class experience in hospitality and fine dining. I also need to mention that for our dessert, we chose to have a cake from Black Bass business partner The Lucky Cupcake Company, a bakery that provided an unbelievably delicious, artisanal buttercream frosted cake, decorated beautifully to our specifications and theme. Both cake and frosting were of a quality that is simply no longer found at most bakeries these days. Every person at this multi-generational, male/female, friend/family event raved about the entire experience. I can hardly wait to return to this unique and lovely place for another unforgettable time.
