Museum Theme Wedding - An Eventective User from Shippensburg, PA

This was a beautiful wedding held in a second level conference room, with direct access to outside and some living history reenactors. With the beautiful patio setting for the ceremony and the atrium for cocktail hour in addition to the conference room where the meal and ceremonial dances took place. The museum itself it on top of a hill in harrisburg it has a wonderful view! The ceremony had a backdrop of trees and a city line and the reenactor's around a camp and campfire. The Dining room held enough room for over 200 guests and the museum was open only for the guests so they could arrive early and learn some american history before the wedding. The building had easy access for the caterers and DJ so everything went smoothly. The building was flexible with the end time of the wedding so we were able to stay another hour to dance. The atrium was beautiful marble and spacious enough for two open bars and appetizers, the entire building was also handicap accessible. Plenty of parking was available in multiple lots around the building. There were many bathrooms that were easy to find and changing rooms were provided for the male and female participants that needed them. There were hotels nearby so guests did not have to travel far and the overall location is relatively easy to get to! Overall This was a wonderful place to host a wedding I'd reccomend it to anyone with a interest in American civil war history or a desire to have their wedding in harrisburg.
