The Main Street Cruisers perform a high energy show featuring true to the original versions of many Rock and Roll hits of the 50's, 60's and 70s. The group’s two poodle skirted, car hop outfitted and Disco dressed vocalists, Jaimie and Lynn keep the action flowing with dance routines that have the crowd moving and harmonies that make you believe you are listening to the original artists. Mark dons his black Stetson and performs as “Johnny’s Trash” singing Folsom Prison while Jim on Keyboard and Sax fills the stage with fun songs such as Tequila, Harlem Nocturne and his rendition of Jerry Lee’s Great Balls of Fire. Bill, The Bass Man along with Paul on drums hold the rhythm section down while Lenny, lead vocalist and guitarist of Bill Haley's Comets, Takes the helm with Vocals, lead guitar and impressions of the legends of Rock & Roll including Roy Orbison along with many of the songs he recorded with Bill Haley’s Comets such as Rock Around The Clock and Shake Rattle and Roll. Party songs such as “You're The One That I Want” “Mony Mony”and Dance favorites of the 70s & 80s such as “Hot Stuff” and “ She Works Hard For The Money” keep the dance floor filled. Members have performed in all 50 states, Germany, England, Mexico,Canada and at thousands of venues from The Kiel Center in Germanyto The Nassau Coliseum in NYC. Mark has backed Gene Chandler of “Duke of Earl” Fame, while Bill and Jimmy have played with The Crests. Lenny Longo, as well as being the current lead vocalist of Bill Haley’s Comets has shared the stage with most of the 50s and 60s and many of the 70s major rock stars. Lynn Mastio-Rice is not only a classically trained vocalist but has appeared in over 20 movies and is currently preparing for another which she will shoot this spring. Their CD's which include many favorite classics have had regular airplay on several Oldies Radio Shows and are being played by many DJ's in place of the originals at their shows As their reputation has grown "The Main Street Cruisers", have featured many celebrity guest artists with the band . Artists such as, Jim Bense of Randy and the Rainbows, whose hit "Denise" topped the charts at #1 in 1963, JT Carter of the Crests, whose "Sixteen Candles" topped the charts in 1959 and Norman Wright Jr, of the Del Vikings whose Doo Wop hit "Come Go With Me" charted in the top 10 in 1956. They regularly perform on the bill with dozens of national acts such as The Tokens, The Del Vikings Peter Noone, The Happenings, and way too many to list. With their 50's style bowling shirts, poodle skirts, tux jackets, Disco outfits, dance routines and zany comedy The Main Street Cruisers truly take you on a wild ride back to the 50's 60s and 70's.
