Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Our historic Laurel Lodge was built back in the 1930s and has plenty of rustic charm, but comes with updated amenities and a semi-commercial kitchen for groups that want to cook for themselves.

This rustic camp setting located in the Mt. Hood National Forest, just minutes from the ski slopes of Government camp, is a perfect place to host a retreat, conference, family reunion or wedding. Several of our historic cabins boast massive stone fireplaces, as well as provide the modern convenience of full kitchens. Within the 22 acres of this camp, you can find old growth trees, the burbling Little Zig Zag River, an outside amphitheater, an adventure course perfect for leadership and team building activities, and plenty of porches to enjoy a rocking chair. The on-site chef is available to provide typical camp fare or create a custom special event menu for larger groups interesting in catering.

Our roads are plowed daily, making Kiwanis Camp a convenient getaway during the snowy season.

Our roads are plowed daily, making Kiwanis Camp a convenient getaway during the snowy season.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Historic Laurel Lodge is two stories, and has an adjacent sleeping lodge. The first floor is perfect for groups to meet while the second floor is great for leisure time with a pool table and seating areas.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — The pool is available for use, weather permitting, and is fully accessible.  Groups must provide their own registered lifeguards and follow safety precautions.  At the pool there is also a gorgeous bathhouse so you can rinse off after your swim!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Our yurts can sleep 6-8 people, and are a fun experience for smaller groups.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — We have two cabins nestled behind our fish pond: Director's Cabin and Cottage Cheese.  Together these two can sleep 8-10, and if you're looking for a small group Director's Cabin can sleep 4.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Little Zigzag runs through the campsite year round.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — The meeting space in Fanning Hall is great for conferences, larger retreats, family reunions or a wedding reception.  We can provide circular or long tables, and there's a back porch that looks out over the Little Zigzag.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Fanning Hall at night.  Since we're near the base of Mt. Hood there's no city light to distract for the brilliant stars.  Bring a blanket and some hot cocoa or tea and make it a night of stargazing!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Our historic Laurel Lodge is kept nice and warm in the winter--the perfect place for a family reunion or group retreat.  Bring some cocoa to drink in front of our stone fireplace!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — The open lower level of Laurel Lodge has hosted conferences, retreats, and even a wedding or two.  With beautiful log beams, and a gorgeous stone fireplace, it's a great meeting area.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Cy Lodge has bunk bed style sleeping arrangements, a kitchen, and a lovely open meeting space that comes with flat screen t.v., iPod dock, and stone fireplace.  Great option for smaller conferences or family reunions!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — On-site we also have an outdoor amphitheater space, picnic tables, and we even have a trail head or two within a five minute walk from the lodges.  Lots of options ready for whatever your group needs!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — One of our two smaller cabins. So quaint! Director's Cabin is rentable for $75 a night; add on Cottage Cheese Cabin and it's $125 a night. The perfect option for our smaller rental groups.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — We're located in the gorgeous Mt. Hood National Forest.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — One view of our bunk style sleeping arrangements.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — The downstairs meeting area in Fanning has a kitchen attached.  Great option for smaller groups to meet at the end of the day.Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Cy Meeting Area.  Stone fireplace, flat screen t.v., and iPod dock make this a popular meeting area for family reunions, and medium sized conferences and retreats.  There's a kitchen connected here so you can also make snacks and dinner for the group!Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, Rhododendron — Within yards of camp there are many hiking trails at different degrees of difficulty, including the Hidden Lake Trail that leads to the Pacific Crest Trail. Our most popular and easy hike is the Little Zig Zag trail which leads to a raging waterfall.

Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp offers both an outdoor amphitheater and an indoor auditorium/meeting hall based on event needs. The indoor hall can accommodate up to 150 people in cafeteria style seating, or seat 100-125 people at 8-person round tables. There is an onsite chef who can customize meals, or guests can choose from a sample menu.
