Originally from New York, magic has been passed down Steve's family for three generations -- from his Uncle Harry, who owned a magic shop in Manhattan -- to his father, who worked in Harry's magic shop as a teenager -- and finally to Steve. Since the age of five, Steve has been practicing and performing wherever and whenever he can get someone to "pick a card, any card at all".
Today, Steve performs at public and private venues around Tulsa, and is a featured performer at the celebrated and historic Spotlight Theater -- home to the oldest running play and vaudeville show in America -- "The Drunkard and The Olio". He is also opening monthly for Crayons Improv at the Agora Coffeehouse.
Sophisticated Sorcery, Tulsa — Steve The Sleeve escapes from a straitjacket meant to restrain the criminally insane. Influenced by Houdini, Steve reproduces this famous escape as the climax to his stage shows. Your audiences will be screaming and cheering as Steve gradually frees himself.
