 9/27/2011 | | "Great for Outdoor Wedding!", An Eventective User from Lebanon,OH | | My husband and I were married 8 years ago at the Visitors Center at Caesars Creek! We wanted a venue big enough for our guests but still private. And we knew we wanted an outside location.When we discovered that we could actually rent the deck behind the visitors center I knew we'd found the right place, it was absolutly beautiful! The visitors center has a huge wooden deck behind it that overlooks the lake, plenty of green foliage and natuaral flowers. It was exactly the venue I was looking for! The rangers at the visitors center were very accomodating the day of the wedding. They roped of the deck so it would be just for the wedding guests and we were allowed to decorate as we wanted, as long as we did not change or damage any of the trees or flowers. So we brought in an archway that the ceremony was going to be performed under and chairs for the guests. We placed an aisle runner in between the chairs and hung flower garland on the deck railing. The only dowside is that since this site is not set-up for weddings I(as the bride) had to change into my weding dress in the AV closet! But it was all worth it. I walked down the aisle and saw the weding of my dreams. We were surrounded by nature with a beautiful view of the lake and the weather was great. That another draw back to this location. There's no place to go if the weather decides not to cooperate! But it was a wonderful venue and it only cost around $75 to rent for the day. Even though this is a "non-traditional" wedding location I would highly reccommend it for anyone wanting a beautiful outdoor wedding! |
