 10/14/2011 | | "Benham's Grove is a fantastic place for a wedding", An Eventective User from Hamilton, Ohio | Benham's Grove is a top-notch wedding venue. This sprawling, well-maintained park features a scenic pond, beautiful plantings, and a large gazebo that is well suited to taking your vows with plenty of room outside for seating. There is a charming Victorian house on-site that you can use to prepare, and for the reception, and rates overall are very reasonable. Our caterer had no trouble setting up and our guests had a great time. You can even have a brick with your names on it added to the main walk through the park to commemorate your special day.
Benham's grove is highly visible from the road, but has a number of ceremony-appropriate areas that are far from traffic noise. Since it has many mature tees and planted areas, it is also a very seasonal location- in fall it is rather melancholy in a pretty, old-fashioned way, and in spring, it is lush and bursting with greenery. You may see visitors in areas of the park you do not reserve, but the staff are pretty good at keeping your ceremony apart from everyday visitors. There are also amenities like tents and awnings that the staff will get ready for you if you request them.
To give you an idea of what went down with our wedding, we had about 75 guests, a DJ, a string quartet, and a catering group with 4 cooks. This is a VERY small ceremony compared to some, but we were able to operate from the house in the grove with no difficulty. It was a beautiful, classic wedding and everyone had a fantastic time. |
|  9/13/2011 | | "Wedding Event Venue- Benham's Grove", An Eventective User from Springfield, OH | | We had our wedding at Benham's Grove in Centerville, Ohio and were so pleased! The grounds are beautiful, covered with gardens, a pond, gazebo and a lovely historical home available for use as well. The management was accommodating and informative when making decisions about seating, catering, table and chair placement, etc- Very friendly and easy to work with. The staff were extremely helpful on the day of the wedding, cheerfully aiding with whatever we needed. We even received a telephone call the morning of the wedding when the skies began to look like rain, to discuss alternative arrangements for our planned outdoor ceremony. Overall, the entire experience was made simple and low-stress thanks to the professional attitude of everyone we had the pleasure of working with at the park. I would definitely recommend (and have!) this location to anyone looking for a unique and special wedding experience. |

| The two rooms in the Gerber House are available for individual rental. With this option, a smaller scale meeting or event can benefit from the elegant Victorian flavor of this spacious house while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. The East Meeting Room is located on the first floor while the Fireplace Meeting Room is located upstairs. Perfect for: club and business meetings, retreats, etc. |

The Barn offers 1,000 square feet of entertaining space on the first floor, plus a second story loft overlooking the ground floor. The fifty-four foot open-air brick ‘Friends of Benham’s Grove Plaza’ enhances the rear entrance to the barn. A heated/air-conditioned addition on the back of the Barn includes a kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave oven, and sink) and handicapped-accessible restrooms. (Please note that with the exception of this addition, the Barn is heated only). Perfect for class and family reunions, picnics, casual events, informal corporate retreats, holiday parties and training sessions. |
