Tom Welton is committed to his customers. In 1963, Tom Welton’s Family opened it’s first Restaurant. Harvels in Miamisburg. It was a huge success immediately!
Tom Welton, even as a small boy, worked in the business. He loved the restaurant business, and decided to further his education at the Culinary Institute of America.
After graduation, Tom returned to Dayton and closed Harvels upon his parents retirement. Tom wanted his own restaurant, so after a few years of Country Club work at Meadowbrook and Moraine Country Club, he bought his Dad’s old restaurant, and it became TW’s.
TW’s opened in 1983, and right away it was a huge success. Miamisburg welcomed this fine dining establishment. The decor was 1920 art deco, and people not only enjoyed the food, but the total atmosphere.
In 1991, Welton’s sold TW’s and wanted a new venture. After some much needed time off, Tom started work on Welton’s in Kettering. The location was completely renovated, and again another one of Tom’s restaurant’s was an instant success. Most of the staff came from TW’s, so there was little change in service and menu. Once again the public was pleased.
During the time at TW’s and Welton’s, customers were asking for catering services. So along with the restaurants, Welton’s started catering. Tom insisted the catering menu be as high in quality as the cuisine in the restaurants.
Welton’s prides itself on using only fresh ingredients, and many of Tom’s ingredients come from his own garden. We are so lucky that many of the local farmers supply us with their products.
Much of our catering is built around your menu and budget. Welton’s Catering has a menu, but many times working with customers special needs is our primary focus. Whether those needs are gluten free, vegetarian, or a wake. Not only does our menu accommodate, but so does our services.
We can cater any type of event, weddings, wakes, corporate events, showers, or any special occasion. We will give your event all of our attention. Our staff is all professional, including a Vegetarian Chef, Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs. Most of our servers and bartenders have been with us many years.
If you need a planner for your event that can be provided also.
Over the years, Welton’s has become a family business. Tricia Welton handles putting together your event. Andy Welton, Tom’s son, is a great front man and bartender/server. He has truly been raised in the business.
