Supported Layouts and Capacities
When we began our search for a wedding venue we had a few things listed on our ""must have list"". Because it was planned for the fall in the South we knew we wanted both an outdoor and indoor option. We knew we wanted the setting to be elegant, but not pretentious, classy, warm, inviting and memorable. We wanted to feel like we were in a castle far away, yet stay in our own home town. We wanted our guests to have great food, comfortable seating and to dance the night away. We wanted to celebrate in a setting that felt like a great home, not a stuffy, overdecorated venue. We found all of this at Longview. We had our ceremony outside on the back lawn. Even though this is a golf course, the backyard is landscaped so beautifully, it masks the course. The entrance was dramatic and stunning as I was able to come down a long flight of stone stairs with my parents to my groom. This also made a great setting for pictures. The cocktail hour was filled with amazing treats, and lots of them, and the drinks and service were above par. The club was able to comfortably seat all of our 100 guests in a manner that allowed for maximum socialization, without anyone feeling they were seated in the ""after-thought"" table. I barely needed to decorate or plan for anything as the assistant took care of most of my needs with great recommendations and a professional eye and and hand. We have heard from most of our guest that our wedding was by far the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. We have also heard our food was top notch and our dessert room at the end of the party was a huge hit. I have recommended this venue to anyone who asks ""what's a good place to have a wedding?"".
