About North Carolina Museum Of History

The North Carolina Museum of History hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including business meetings, theater productions, legislative receptions, concert performances, and wedding receptions. This unique venue has three spaces available for rental. Large receptions are held in the lobby, a space that accommodates 300 guests for a reception and 200 for a sit-down dinner. With room for a band and a dance floor, the lobby lets guests enjoy music and dancing throughout the evening. Festivities can last until midnight. With a seating capacity of 307 and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, Daniels Auditorium is the ideal setting for large meetings and performances. The Demonstration Gallery is a smaller space with a unique setting, perfect for small meetings, lunches, and receptions. Encased by three glass walls, the "Glass Box" has a wonderful view overlooking Bicentennial Plaza and the Legislative Building.
