Alamance Arts extends a cordial invitation to you to use its gracious facilities,The Captain James & Emma Holt White House for your personal artistic pleasure or as a meeting and/or dining accommodation.
From the moment you enter through the beautifully etched front door you are embraced by simple but elegant southern hospitality. The grounds and porches enhance its charming ambiance. The Captain White House has been restored to the splendor of its completion in 1873. On the walls are works of well known local and regional artists. The exhibits change frequently and the Arts Council has an outstanding permanent collection. The gift shop has an exquisite selection of unique offerings in a variety of price ranges.
Whether you need a facility for an awards banquet, wedding reception, business meeting or to conduct a class, the Captain White House can accommodate up to 100 guests in a cocktail style setting or as few as four in a private room. The kitchen is a caterer's dream. Just imagine your guests strolling through these gracious high ceiling rooms with the beautiful artwork around them. The atmosphere will make any gathering one to remember!
