Enjoy a truly outstanding and unique dining experience at Aquavina, Uptown Charlotte's upscale contemporary seafood restaurant. Aquavina has an ancient fishing theme, but its design is very contemporary. A team of local and national artists and craftsman worked over 4,000 hours to create breathtaking sculptures and art pieces. The ceiling in the main dining room has three suspended leather canoes, which are abstract interpretations of canoes used by natives and range in lengh from 14 to 18 feet. Accompanying the canoes is a 44-foot terracotta sculpture and 400 terracotta corrals that surround the main dining room. Another room, called "The Blue Room", has a moonscape stucco and stone ceiling with star-like spot lights and two abstract sculptures that provide guests with an underwater-cave like atmosphere. Aquvina is open for lunch and dinner and is available for private parties. Aquvina seats 224 people including 24 people in two separate bars and 60 people in its outdoor terrace. The outdoor terrace offers guests a fantastic view of the park at The Green, and with its separate bar is a favorite place for after work-professionals and for special events or private parties.
