"Wedding Reception Recommendation", An Eventective User from Skaneateles, NY. Boston, MA
From the moment we stepped onto the grounds of the Frog Pond Bed and Breakfast, we fell in love. Nestled two miles away from the charming and gorgeous center of Skaneateles in the Finger Lakes region, this is the place to be. Everything we were hoping for in a new and unique approach to choosing a wedding venue was found on the lovely piece of land. From the charming Inn owners (The Gordon Family) to the amazing barn/carriage house, we couldn't have asked for more. The Gordon's let us have free reign of the Inn that weekend. My bridesmaids and I stayed overnight the evening before the big day and had the whole place to ourselves; it was the perfect sleepover. Set on 130 acres of land, this property has more potential than you know. Inside the carriage house you will find a wide space that resembles a barn that we used to stage our band and dance the night away. Offering the perfect back-up for rain, the barn is where people mingled, drank, ate and spent the evening laugh and enjoying each other's company. Behind the carriage house, is an amazing and open piece of land that we used for s'mores, lawn games and an place for people to steal a quiet minute away from the fun and music inside. The Gordon's allowed us to decorate and utilize the land however we wanted. Our vision consisted of floating mason jars, lots of candlelight and vintage burlap as far as the eye can see. With this flexibility, we were able to approach our special day with personal touches galore, ease and the ability to change things up as we go. Whether it be for a wedding reception, family reunion or work retreat, you will not be disappointed with the Frog Pond Bed and Breakfast. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
