Japan Society, an American nonprofit cultural institution, offers an oasis of Japanese design, elegance and tranquility in midtown Manhattan. The Society's fully equipped facilities are ideal for conferences, receptions, film screenings, workshops, webinars and other special events. Unique rental spaces feature a state-of-the-art 262-seat auditorium, a spacious reception room and foyer with views of a bamboo grove and waterfall, and an intimate meeting room and reception/exhibition area situated on the Society's sky-lit second floor.

The 262-seat Lila Acheson Wallace Auditorium is available for lectures, film screenings, and music and dance performances. The space is also suitable for media announcements and presentations. The auditorium is equipped with state-of-the art film projectors, television and Internet connections, and lighting and sound systems. The wooden walls are flat, Japanese-style curtains made from hand-rubbed Scandinavian wood.
