4/9/2012 | | "Amazing Venue for All Occassions", An Eventective User from Killeen,Texas | | I recently had my daughter's Sweet Sixteen at the Central Park Boathouse and is was beautiful. It had amazing views and beautiful scenery. It could also approximately two hundred people give or take. This was with the dance floor and extra tables for foods and other things. The venue was well constructed and had a perfect spot for everything. The workers also helped with the set up and adujsted things till I was completely overjoyed by the look. I am so happy I picked this venue, I will use it time and time again, and recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect venue. |
| 4/9/2012 | | "Sonia reception guest", An Eventective User from Queens | | Last New Year's Eve of 2011 my sisters current fiance finally popped the big question. At the stoke of midnight Alex bent down on one knee and proposed. My sisters eyes and face suddenly lite up with joy as she quickly said yes. Both families were so happy and excited to immediately start the wedding celebrations. The first step was to reserve the wedding reception space. The reception venue had to be elegant, classy, memorable, hip, and stylish all in one. There was only one place that stood out to my sister and her fiance while researching online. Alex and my sister came across The Central Park Boathouse reception venue within 20 minutes of their online search. They were amazed at how easy it was to fun in love with the aspect of acquiring the space. Calls were made and a date for July 17, 2011 was set. The big day was finally upon us.I can not justly put into words how much of a delicate and spectacular event The Central Park Boathouse provided to my sister and her wedding guests. The allure and sensuous feel of The Central Park Boathouse was highly due in part of the fresh smell of the outdoor pond surrounding the venue, the pleasant, joyous environment of the guests and the comforts of the mini outdoor bar accompanied by very comfortable plush seating. The atmosphere of The Central Park Boathouse was reminiscent of old southern hospitality. It was just amazing! Who would of thought you would find such charm in New York City? The serviced offered by the employees was impeccable. They were cleaned and pressed head to toe and the server uniforms were very sharp almost comparable to a suit. Employees were very respectful and were always passing around the delicious catered gourmet delicacies, and special request drinks. It was simply a wonderful and I can not wait to have my wedding at this venue. There is no other place i would look. The ice breaker for me would definitely have to be the pond. It made the atmosphere echo more with the pleasantries of the occasion. Just know I will be back to The Central Park Boathouse to host a few different events, maybe a book club hosting, that would be fun. If you need a good venue for a wedding this is definitely an A+ location for the big city person with the small city heart. |
| 3/9/2012 | | "classy yet wallet-friendly", An Eventective User from new york, ny | | The staff went the extra mile to be sure everything was ready for my big day. The forecast called for sunshine, but they took note of the clouds ahead. They placed umbrellas over all the reserved tables, and moved the open bar indoors. They offered a generous discount on Boat Rides, almost $10-15 off, depending on the number of people. To be married in Manhattan was always a dream of mine- the staff of the Central Park Boathouse made sure nothing got in the way. Kudos! |
| 2/3/2012 | | "Excellent Venue", An Eventective User from New York City, NY | | I would recommend the Central Park Boat House in New York City for your next event. The venue is spacious and has a very elegant feel to it. It is beautiful to be in anytime of year and also it can accomidate 500+ people. |
| 1/17/2012 | | "The Loeb Boathouse At Central Park, Beauty in the Middle of Everything", An Eventective User from Sacramento, California | | My sister recently married her boyfriend of 5 years, and decided she wanted to get married in New York. I had never been to the east coast, but my sisters husband, being in the military, had been to the east coast states a few times. New York was nice, we hit up all the tourist spots and went to a few local dives. all in all we had a really good time. Their wedding reception took place on a sunday and the weather was beautiful. The Loeb Boathouse At Central Park has a really nice view of the lake and tends to have a nature feel, even though it's smack dab in the middle of the city. The interior was really beautiful and the staff were all top notch in any accommodations that were required. Like i mentioned earlier this was my first time in New York, and it was for a really big occasion, so maybe i was in awe, but if i had to recommend a wedding venue in the busiest city i America, i would go with The Loeb Boathouse At Central Park. I hope this was helpful :) |
| 1/16/2012 | | "A Night to Remember", An Eventective User from New York, NY | | My sister was married in the spring and her venue was the talk of the town. She had the ceremony in Central Park and then the reception was at the Central Park Boathouse. Growing up in New York City, she always wanted to have her wedding in a place that signified home. There is no better place than this absolutely exquisite venue because of its vista. Located right on the edge of the lake, the windows are tall and allow an unbelievable look into the beauty of the city. In the warmer months, the terrace is an excellent addition to the venue because it allows for a gathering away from the center of the party. It is at the water's edge and is an extremely photogenic addition! I have heard that some parties use this space as the dining area. We chose to use the inside space in case the weather was bad and had this terrace for the overflow of guests. It seemed to work out perfectly this way. The boathouse is an adequate space for around 150 people, especially if you want some dancing! The wood all around make it an excellent place for photographs, especially with the elegant lights above. This was the perfect venue for my sister because it was New York City without the bustle of the city. It is a perfect way to display the treasures within the city. Since I was the bridesmaid, I was very involved in the planning and organization of the party. The people are extremely helpful because they have done so many weddings. The staff made this experience a perfect one for my sister and her groom. If you can afford it, it is well worth it! |
| 1/10/2012 | | "An excellent place to marry the love of your life", An Eventective User from Norfolk, VA | In trying to find a good location for our wedding, my Navy hubby and I came across The Central Park Boathouse online. Being from VA. we wasn't sure if we would be able to afford to fly our entire family and friends up for a fancy New York wedding like we dreamed of.
We took a quick trip up to NY to check the place out because sometimes pictures look different online than the actual place! This one was WAY more beautiful in person! We booked it right then and there!
Our wedding was a success and all of our friends and family said they had never saw a more beautiful wedding. It was right on the lake so even though it was in NY it felt more like back home! The ballroom was beautiful and the food there was devine! I would recommend ANYONE who is thinking about getting married in NY to please consider this place, you will not regret it..we didn't and we have beautiful pics to show! |
| 12/19/2011 | | "Beautiful Beyond Words", An Eventective User from New York,NY | | One of the most beautiful locations on all of New York City is the Central Park Boathouse. My husband and I chose this location for a post wedding party for friends and family that were unable to attend our destination wedding. The venue was perfect because it was convenient for everyone to get to. Our 150 guest had more than enough room to eat , dance and enjoy their evening. The view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous and guests stood by the window looking out and enjoying the view. Keep in mind that there will be boaters going by during the course of the evening. This was actually fun for us , especially when we were outside taking pictures. Boaters yelled well wishes. The staff was wonderful and at some points I felt as if there was always someone around to attend to the needs of every guest. You can also have gondola rides as part of your event , or even a horse drawn carriage. These extra amenities , plus the outdoor bar made this a great venue for our summer reception. This venue is ideal for warm weather months and will not disappoint you or your guests. The catering manager gives you an ample amount of choices for your menu. They even made special meals for my mother who is diabetic and several other family members who had special issues. I was particularly impressed that they assigned a waiter to specifically handle these meals so there was no confusion. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is considering having their wedding on the heart of New York City. |
