Overlooking the village of Groton, in New York's Finger Lakes region, stands the Benn Conger Inn. Originally built in 1921 as a private home for Benn Conger, popular state senator, it became a safe haven for the infamous bootlegger and numbers racketeer Dutch Schultz. We are located just 15 minutes from Ithaca, NY or 35 minutes from Syracuse, NY. The inn is the perfect headquarters from which to explore the beauty of the area: Hiking, biking, horse-back riding, golfing, tennis, crosscountry and alpine skiing, hunting, fishing, water sports, wine-tasting, antiquing and a variety of other activities. Whether for business or pleasure, corporate retreat, wedding reception, or romantic getaway, we look forward to making your stay as memorable as possible. Dine in one of three elegantly appointed dining rooms or our lovely Conservatory surrounded by Palladian windows and French doors. Our glass enclosed dining room offers dining under the stars all year round. After a restful sleep, join us for a complimentary Continental Breakfast. | Benn Conger is located in the quaint town of Groton,NY, nestled on 22 acres of pure peace & tranquility (20 minutes from Ithaca and 15 minutes from Cortland. Other than a full Restaurant and Bar; the property has 10 Guest Rooms each with their own private bath & shower.
