About The Woman's Club of Ridgewood

Celebrate your family ceremonies and reception events with our historic venue. Only 12 miles from Manhattan, we offer a versatile two-story event space with large and small rooms, gabled windows, decorative fireplaces and an outdoor garden setting that can be used separately or together to accommodate groups from 50 to 260 guests. Available exclusively to one special event per day, our estate is a unique combination of history, serenity & beauty. The Woman’s Club, set in a lovely residential neighborhood, caters to a wide variety of events, including social functions (weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, children parties, baby showers, anniversary parties), corporate events (training meetings, dinner receptions, team building, workshops.), as well as non-profit events and a recital/performance space. Funds from these rentals help provide the capital for our philanthropic donations. Built in 1928, with a weathered stone exterior and gabled roof, the Woman’s Club of Ridgewood was constructed in the style of a fine Dutch colonial home. It was designed by New York architect George Koyl.

Our Newly Renovated Clubhouse is a single event venue with a large ballroom and stage; you and your party can celebrate without sharing our facility. Our Clubhouse is fully air conditioned/heated, and our first floor is easily accessible for caterers. There are handicap spaces, and ramps available next to the ballroom for accessibility. It is a wide space, and Covid compliant with a complete 16 plug in/Blue Tooth sound and stage system. For an event up to five hours, we usually offer our ballroom, stage, sound system, foyer, first floor living room, Garden area and commercial warming kitchen for $3100.00 plus extra complementary hours of setup, cleanup and insurance for your event. Or for smaller events up to 60 people, we can offer our living area, warming kitchen and foyer for $1600. The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood has a fully equipped commercial warming kitchen (to be used for reheating purposes) however, we do not provide ice/food/beverages, place settings, glassware, linens for your function. This can be arranged through your caterer and/or outside Rental Company. We do have a Freezer, Commercial refrigerator, warming oven and stove to heat up items. Please reference our online Preferred Vendor Guide. Caterers are required to provide Liability Insurance or see the links below if you are providing your own food. Our website includes a link to our Preferred Vendor Guide. However, you are permitted to use vendors not listed in our Vendor Guide. Your caterer will have to provide Liability Insurance. If you plan to bring your own food, you will need to apply for private liability insurance( see the links below); and provide us with the complete information. The kitchen can only be used for reheating purposes. On Sunday Street free unlimited street parking is available. Parking arrangements can also be made with Westside Church (across the street) to use their parking lot for your event, although there is plenty of street parking with sidewalks that are closer to the facility for your convenience as well. The Woman's Club has plenty of tables and will set up the tables and chairs to the configuration of your choice. We also have a complete professional sound system, & stage lighting; a grand piano and baby grand piano and a display screens should you need them during your event. Our Clubhouse Concierge will be on hand for your entire event for questions and facility maintenance. They are invaluable, and we look forward to ensuring that your event runs smoothly. Please note that to Confirm your Event date, please send us a 30 day refundable deposit of $650 - you can always send it to us, or just drop it off in the mail slot at 215W Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. Upon receipt of the deposit, we can discuss the details of your event and sign an agreement. We are a charitable volunteer organization; proceeds from rental events go toward the maintenance of our historic facility, as well as to our Scholarship Trust that provides over 20 students a year with scholarship assistance. In addition, we contribute to various local charitable organizations in Bergen County such as The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, Youth Council Services, CASA; Court Appointed Special Advocates and others. Our Club is a volunteer organization that provides a unique opportunity to share your gatherings in a beautiful setting and contribute to others. We have taken great care improving it and appreciate your cooperation in keeping it nice.

We had our ceremony and reception here for a July wedding. Overall, we were pleased--we got a lot of comments on how nice it was, there were plenty of bathrooms, the ballroom was elegant and airy, and the nearby living room provided a space for guests to get away from the music if they wanted. Also, the on-site staff on the day of our wedding were incredibly nice and accommodating. Our one complaint is that leading up to the wedding there were a few problems (i.e. unresponsiveness) with getting in touch with the Club staff, mostly due to the fact that the Club has only one coordinator who answers all emails and phone calls. Nevertheless, the quality you get for the price made it worthwhile in the end and we were more than satisfied.

Having recently used the Women's Club of Ridgewood for both our wedding and reception I must say that this place was not only perfect for both our theme and our budget, but the friendly staff made it the most seemless day in our lives. With a ballroom, cocktail room and small but beautiful garden we could not have asked for a better place to get married and have our families together to share our special day. Nestled in the heart of beautiful Ridgewood New Jersey it was close enough to the big cities but tucked away enough to make you feel like you were in your own little world. The rental of the site is strictly for the site itself, but their staff gave us so many wonderful vendor choices that they have used on a regular basis that you felt like each vendor was part of the women's club family. Such a great decision for us and should be for anyone looking for that small to medium sized wedding on a small to medium sized budget.
