 8/24/2011 | | "The Average", An Eventective User from Las Vegas, NV | Though I was forced to silently stand by myself, pacing around in the lobby for over fifteen minutes, my experience wasn't necessarily a terrible one.
I stopped in on the way home, on a whim, to surprise my girlfriend with her favorite: orange lilies. Well, they didn't have orange lilies. They had yellow lilies. The lady had a nice smile, however, and did not seem happy about telling me no. So I let it go.
The price was average, maybe a few dollars cheaper than average, for a dozen lilies. I asked if there were any cheaper lilies because, well, I am cheap. She said apologetically that she does not. Okay.
For some reason, it took her the better part of a half hour to cut, vase, and wrap my flowers. Impatient though I was, I could not bring myself to frown at the nice, though slow, lady. I move on.
She finally finished and sets my vase on the counter. I just watched as it crashed to the ground. She yelped. I breathed forcefully.
Twenty minutes later and the lady had given me a half dozen extra lilies for free, and had upgraded my vase. Which was wonderful, because I was just starting to feel the first signs of an angry twitch in my eyes.
I didn't enjoy my visit, but for all my pains, she gave me beautiful flowers and made my beautiful girlfriend happy. An okay visit, after all, to the most average florist in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
