 8/21/2011 | | "Great Honeymoon Spot", An Eventective User | | My new husband and I spent the first week of our honeymoon in Las Vegas before heading to the Grand Canyon. I booked the hotel due to reviews on TripAdvisor. Located on Fremont Street, the hotel is not the in bustle of Las Vegas Blvd, but it is right on the Fremont Street Experience. The room was quiet even when parties were rampant in the pool and street area. Our room was on the 14th floor and had a wonderful view of the shark tank and pool. Splurge for the Gold Tower VIP room if you can. It’s not very expensive and you get access to a semi-private floor where coffee and snacks await you morning and night. You get free Fiji water every time the room is cleaned. There’s a TV in the bathroom mirror, which my husband loved and wouldn’t stop talking about. The room were clean and elegant, and had a sitting area. The restaurants and the casino were great. The food at the Italian place inside was wonderful. If I had known a half-portion was available, I would have ordered that. The menu doesn’t say it, but if you don’t eat a lot, order the half. I got meatballs and each one was as big as my fist. |
