The UNO Alumni Association is an independent, nonprofit corporation dedicated to serving the University of Nebraska at Omaha and its alumni. It was founded June 6, 1913, by the Class of 1913. Newly expanded and renovated in 2006, the William H. and Dorothy Thompson Center is one of the most popular event facilities in Omaha.
The elegant yet affordable facility is available for rent to the general public for a variety of events, including wedding receptions, meetings, conferences and holiday parties. Alumni status or membership is NOT required to rent the Thompson Center. However, Alumni Cardholders (donors to the UNO Annual Fund, $25 suggested donation), receive a 10-percent discount on rental fees for personal events. Current faculty, staff and students of all four University campuses also receive a 10-percent discount on room rental for personal events.
