From the beginning, April Spaulding had always had a vision for her photography studio. She wanted it to be about the experience and products as well as the art of a professional photographer. Spaulding is known for personalizing sessions by going on location but now offers indoor studio sessions. She wants her clients to just relax and have fun. Her studio’s vision includes a boutique style that offers specialty products that are handmade such as portraits adorned with ribbons, Swarovski crystals and buttons, frames made out of restored farm house windows, cedar fence posts and barnwood; photo collages that tell a story; custom designed albums for weddings, babies and families and so much more. Spaulding offers clients an array of services such as on-location wedding photography, bridal studio portraits, family portraits, babies and children, senior photos, pet photography specializing in equine, and sports and team photos. She also offers wedding clients an opportunity to order wedding accessories and invitations through her studio. Seniors can order custom photo announcements through her studio using her design services or stylArt. “I have worked hard this last year to hone in on what clients want in every shape or form. Through trial and error, I found they want something fresh and out of the box. April Spaulding Photography and Design will provide them with just that,” she said. “We now have the necessary tools to do many of the techniques you see at larger studios and I am working hard to expand my learning to accommodate many needs by clients.” Spaulding’s professional memberships include: the Professional Photographers of America and the Montana Professional Photographer’s Association. She also is active in the Choteau Jaycees, Choteau Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Auxiliary, Montana Anti-Tobacco Coalition and the Front Range Art Association. “I am currently looking for model representatives for the class of 2010. April Spaulding Photography and Design is expanding from a small home-based studio to a downtown Choteau location on April 8. The new location at 19 Third St. N.E. (the Crabtree building), will be shared with Tammy Hamman of Tammy’s Tailors. The actual shooting hours will be by appointment only, but clients are welcome to stop in 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and check out the new location.
