Located in downtown Kansas City, the Midland Theatre provides a premium event experience in a beautiful treasured landmark. The theatre is well known for its over 500,000 feet of gold leaf, five giant Czechoslovakian hand-cut crystal chandeliers, irreplaceable art objects, and spectacular wood and plaster work. Renovated in 2008, the Theatre now features state-of-the-art in-house sound, dynamic lighting and amenities for turn-key private events. Highlights include: Customizable tiered main floor, Built-in 2,000 sq ft stage and dance floor, Video screens, 6,000 sq ft Grand lobby and Mezzanine areas. Additional event spaces for smaller groups include the beautiful Chandelier Bar, and Windows on Main showcasing dramatic views of the city. The main theatre features a customizable tiered floor, accommodating from 100 to 600 guests seated banquet style, and up to 1,500 cocktail reception style. Since reopening in Fall 2008, the Midland Theatre has hosted numerous celebrations, galas, meetings and banquets for clients including Major League Baseball, Cerner's First Hand Foundation, Perceptive Software, NAACP Convention, UMB Bank, DST Systems, American Red Cross and the Mid-America Emmy Awards.

Old Hollywood, An Eventective User from

This space is amazing! It transforms you into an old Hollywood state of mind. It's larger than life. This is perfect for a very elegant, very large party or event. I attended a wedding with about 400 people and it was perfect. Lots of room, the decor is amazing. They didn't have to decorate much. The venue speaks for itself.

I went to midland theater back in July 2011 for an event called Global Dance festival. I had not been to this venue before this and did not know what to expect. Once I got inside I was treated to a spacious venue with beautiful scenery. It was decorated like an older classic style theater. It had several levels with several rooms on each floor. The upper balcony had an amazing view of the main stage. The sound system was amazing as were the acoustics of the venue. I would recommend this venue to anyone for a party.

The Cotillion Room is a beautiful venue for weddings, receptions, and a variety of other special events.
