About Nicollet Island Pavilion

Built in 1893 as William Brothers Boiler Works, Nicollet Island Pavilion was acquired by the Minneapolis Park Board in 1976 and eventually restored to the beautiful event space you see today. Perfect for a romantic wedding or a festive corporate gala, this customizable & flexible space allows you to bring your vision to life any way you would like! All events are professionally managed by Mintahoe Catering & Events ensuring delicious catering and superb service.

In the heart of Northeast Minneapolis, Mintahoe at Solar Arts is a hub for creativity, love, and unforgettable moments. Built in 1914, this historic building has been transformed into a modern, environmentally friendly hub for the creative community. With distinctive design elements and warm air of refined hospitality, you and your guests can enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at this Minneapolis landmark. A party up to 250 guests can be accommodated for in this historic adaptable lofted space. The character of the building has been retained – with its well-worn wood and cast iron – and renovated using the most eco-friendly materials and equipment which includes 109 solar panels to let the sun power the pure creativity of those who visit. The rustic structure was designed and crafted by a local woodworking artist, using reclaimed materials. With Wall-to-wall windows also feature here, along with the iconic boilerplate door and exposed brick, it is an ideal backdrop for your wedding portraits. This entire area is ideal for celebrating your union in luxurious relaxation, combining industrial and opulent design features.
