In 1987 Chef Scott began a culinary journey in the small town of Rockford, MI. at the Rockford Hotel, which changed ownership to Sam Bravada, and became Sams Joint. Perfecting the art of barbecue Chef Scott moved onto Italian food at Pietros Italian Risaurante In Grand Rapids. 4 years under Michael Passero and American Ambassidor to Italy, Peter Secchia the Art of Pasta was conquered. Then on to Resorts. Boyne USA in1995, becoming Sous Chef at Michigan's finest ski and golf resort. Opening the world renowned Bay Harbor Golf Club in 1998. In 2000 Chef Scott opened Thousand Oaks Golf Club, which was awarded Best Golf Course restaurant in the midwest in 2001 as well as nominated for Grand Rapids' restaurant of the year in 02, 03 and 04. From Banquet Chef to sous chef to Executive Chef Scott made "The Oaks" the place to be in the early 00's. Competing in several local competitions Chef Scotts famous Smoked Salmon won several awards and earned the respect from the areas finest Culinary geniuses. Joining the Gilmore Collection in 2004 as Executive Chef at Flat River Grill, Scott turned the Lowell area into a dining mecca. Again joining the areas finest restaurants at The Grand Culinay Affair as a nominee again for several awards of excellence. Moving over to the signature store in 2006, Scott received an award of excellence at The Blue Water Grill in Grand Rapids as one of the 10 best in G.R.
