"Rustic yet Elegent", An Eventective User from Mount Plesant Michigan
I had my wedding and reception at Buck's Run Golf Club in Mount Pleasant Michigan. It was so beautiful. The building sits on top of a hill. There are large glass windows and doors on three sides of the venue with a wrap around balcony. You can overlook the golf course on one side and beautiful scenery on the other two sides. There is plenty of wildlife to look at if this is the type of thing that you like. We even took the majority of our photos on the property which turned out well because there are many places that are great places for a photo op like the large stone pile with a stream running through it. This place is so lush and green. The colors really pop in the photos. Inside the building there are very high ceilings. Everything is trimmed with a light colored wood. The lighting is wonderful. There are two beautiful crystal chandeliers. This venue is fairly large. It can accommodate about 500 guests. Even with all of these guests you don't feel like you are crammed into a tiny space like sardines. There is plenty of room to walk around and mingle. There is a rather large dance floor so you can boogie down all night if you wish. The food here is also excellent. It is served as a buffet style however I do believe that they offer a table service style as well. We served a chicken dish and a salmon dish. Both were better than our expectations. We had several guest comment about how they loved the food. Our guests had a wonderful time and so did we. I recommend this venue for anyone because not only is it beautiful but the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
