The Colonial Theatre, Boston — A masterpiece of Boston architecture, the Colonial Theatre is a stunning and unique setting for weddings, holiday parties, and corporate meetings. Often compared to the Louvre, Versailles, and the Paris Opera House, the Colonial boasts over 5000 square-feet of shimmering gold leaf and six sparkling crystal chandeliers. Still primarily used to host the best of Broadway, the Colonial is flexible enough to accommodate many different types of events. The lobbies and stage together can hold a spectacular wedding ceremony and reception for up to 250 guests; traditional use of the entire theatre can accommodate a corporate meeting or private lecture for up to 1600; the lobbies alone can host a cocktail party for up to 250; and if something more intimate is in your plans, the Ladies Lounge and The Mahongany Room can accommodate smaller functions for 35 – 50 people. The lobby areas and function rooms are also available for private events before or after performances – perfect for birthday party surprises or entertaining important clients!
