Best Chinese/Western Wedding Banquet Hall, An Eventective User from Gaithersburg, MD

I recently was involved in my cousin's wedding and had my trepidations about using a restaurant for the reception versus a more conventional venue like hotel banquet halls or woman's clubs and their ilk. My doubts were removed as soon as I went through the doors. Well decorated and spacious enough for over 30 table rounds seating 8-10, a 15 x 15 foot area for dancing, and a stage for spotlighting the new bride and groom were all welcome amenities. If you are Chinese and need a place for a traditional reception, look no further. Normally, New Fortune is a full-fledged Chinese restaurant that also serves up dim sum, conventional and authentic Chinese food, and Chinese barbecue. New Fortune's staff is also talented in creating a twelve course meal for weddings and other catered affairs. My cousin's wedding dinner included sliced meats Alaskan crab claws walnut shrimp shark fin soup lobster in ginger scallion sauce abalone with black mushrooms and vegetables flounder with vegetables crispy chicken seafood fried rice hundred happiness dessert The one complaint I heard from most guests was the inefficiency of the central air conditioning. To the restaurant's credit, this event was during the July 2011 heatwave in Maryland. There was another event, albeit smaller, in a separate section of the restaurant occurring simultaneously that evening. They were not Chinese, so anyone of any color or creed can throw a nice shindig here!!
