Description
In August of 1996, DuClaw Brewing Company opened its doors to the public for the first time in Bel Air, Maryland and was soon dubbed “Bel Air’s hippest establishment” by the local media. In addition to housing the popular restaurant and bar, DuClaw Bel Air was also the original location of the brewing facility where DuClaw Brewmaster Jim Wagner works his magic, creating DuClaw’s signature handcrafted house beers. Our deliciously creative staples, with names as bold as their flavors like Venom Pale Ale, Bad Moon Porter, Ravenwood, Kangaroo Love, Misfit Red and the one that constantly creates controversy, Bare Ass Blonde Ale, are on tap year round to satisfy your thirst for fine, craft brewed beer. DuClaw also offers a wide selection of seasonal brews to compliment our staple beers and tempt the palate with original recipes for limited runs through out the year.
Each and every DuClaw Brewing Company location features the same great eclectic menu and unique, handcrafted brews on tap, so stop in and experience the DuClaw difference. At DuClaw Brewing Company, we are very proud of our beers. We put every ounce of passion and spirit we possess into each batch, and we believe it shows. Our beers have received their fair share of recognition over the years (Misfit Red winning Best Beer in Baltimore in 1998 and Venom taking 1st place in the People’s Choice Award at the 2001 Maryland Craft Beer Festival, just to name a few.) Even though we put quality first, fun is never far behind, as evidenced by the names of our beers. We have been asked many times how we come up with them.
