The Hyde Room is available for your banquets, family get togethers or business meetings. There is no room charge for your group if you have 20 guests and order off the banquet menus. Jameson Tavern is located right beside L.L. Bean on Main Street in Freeport and is within walking distance to all the out let shopping. Bobby Flay of the FoodNation cooking show has visited the tavern and raved about the lobster stew recipe that we use here. All seafood is fresh daily, and Jamesons has a lobster tank available in view for customers to enjoy. A historic tavern, the Daughters of the American Revolution put a plaque in front of the building commemorating the Jameson Tavern as the "Birthplace of Maine", as old records state that the papers were signed at the Tavern separating Maine from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1820.
