Governor Hill Mansion, Augusta — In the heart of Maine's capital, you'll find one of the state's most beautiful homes.

John Calvin Stevens, who was Maine's foremost architect at the turn of the 20th century, designed this Colonial Revival home for Maine's 45th governor, John Freemont Hill (1855-1912) in 1902. This stately building was used as the governor's home until his daughter and grandchildren gave it to Oblate Fathers for a retreat home in 1949.

Since then, the Governor Hill Mansion has been used a site for retreats, conferences, and gatherings of all kinds.

Columbus Hall, Governor Hill Mansion, Augusta — Columbus Hall is our large banquet hall that can seat 200 for a formal dinner.  It can be divided for smaller functions, as well.  The hall has a dance floor and sound system.

This later addition to the Mansion provides an optimal and flexible space for large gatherings. Columbus Hall can seat up to two hundred (200) guests for meals. There is a raised stage, an excellent sound system and video display, and an optional dance floor to rent.
