As a folk life museum Acadian Village offers an authentic
vision of Acadian society in South Louisiana during the
19th century. While touring the Village see homes furnished
with native Louisiana antiques, stroll down the bayous and feed the
fish, or just enjoy the serene environment at your own pace.

Acadian Village also offers three rental venues for your special
occasions. We host hundreds of events including festivals, cookoffs,
family reunions, weddings, holiday parties, birthday parties,
corporate picnics, and other events each year.

Join us for Noel Acadien au Village during the month of December
to experience one of the largest lighting displays in the South. The
Village comes alive with thousands of lights, animated displays,
live entertainment, carnival rides, pictures with Santa, arts & crafts,
and much more.

The original Fernand Stutes Grocery & Bar captured the essences of all the country bars of the past. Fernand was the quintessential Cajun, loved by generations of patrons. He was bar owner, grocer, barber, farmer and justice of the peace, operating all his endeavors from the rambling wood frame building that housed the colorful bar.Fernand Stutes Building, Acadian Village, Lafayette
