Supported Layouts and Capacities
Don Pablo's is a chain of Mexican restaurants in the Midwest on the East Coast. Since I was a teenager, it was always my favorite Mexican restaurant. Inexpensive but not cheap food and the large portions always guaranteed two meals. They have chicken fajitas that make me want to cry. When my wife and I were engaged, our parents threw us an engagement party, reserving a conference room at the Merrillville Don Pablo's. When we got there, a handwritten sign greeted us and immediately we were ushered to the conference room, which had an entire wall of windows (although they did look at the parking lot). Appetizers waited for us, chips, flautas, tortillas and assorted dips. When the food arrived, it was literally piled on our table. Hot and delicious, it tasted exactly the same as if we had ordered individual meals. The servers moved quickly but not hurried and our drinks were constantly filled. Only a few people drank, since it was an early lunch, but if someone was thirsty, the drink was filled minutes later. No one had to wait. Twice the manager personally came to see how we were doing. Hands down, it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have ever had. As far as the cost, our parents obviously tried to keep it from us, but it worked out (without alcohol) to about ten dollars a person. We had thirty people, so a little over three hundred. With the rental fee and tip, you are still talking less than five hundred dollars for holding the conference room for about two and half hours. Wonderful!
