Salomon Farm Park offers many exciting programs and classes for adults and children related to nature. The Farm is the perfect location for hiking, cross-country skiing (in the winter), bird watching and much more. Organized programs are also offered throughout the year. The magnificent old building sits majestically along Dupont Road on a small working farm operated by the Parks and Recreation Department. The peaceful, bucolic setting includes a pond, wetlands, livestock pens, vegetable gardens, prairie grasses and crop fields. The barn, originally built in the late 1800’s, housed livestock and and served the farm for over 100 years. The perfect setting for weddings, receptions, reunions and other special events. The newly renovated structure features a large seating area for up to 120 persons and a separate room for the catering operation. A separate but adjacent building houses the restrooms. The Old Barn may be reserved in the spring of 2007. Rental fees begin as low as $260 for 4 hours (including 2 additional hours for set-up and clean-up).
