With élan & style…Deer Park Manor is the acknowledged "grande damme" of Bloomington event facilities. The name Deer Park Manor was coined in 1999 in honor of the deer that make the surrounding property their home during their migratory travels in the Southern part of Bloomington. The Manor is surrounded by a total of more than 41 acres in conservation easements that are the natural habitat for many wild animals, including hawk, red fox and deer. A 40 acre estate…manicured gardens…gracious limestone mansion…and elegantly finished interior. Truly…the perfect backdrop for your unique event. There are several perfect places on the grounds to have an outdoor wedding ceremony. Many couples use the courtyard area and waterfall as the backdrop for their ceremony. Other couples wed under a tent or the trees of the nearby gardens. Be creative; the grounds are yours for the day! The best part about hosting an event at Deer Park Manor is that it feels like a private party! You can be sure that your event is the only event we are concentrating on your special day. Each event is unique and personal because our clients choose all the vendors from the caterer to the baker (or your family wants to do the cooking, that’s fine too). In addition to the beautiful Manor House you may also use the grounds for your event. Arrive in a hot air balloon or on a horse and carriage. There is plenty of free parking for your guests and we even provide our clients with their very own special event and wedding muse to help with all the little details and surprises that will make your event extra special! The Manor House is equipped with two 5 CD players and a sound system for DJs/bands to plug into. The speakers are located inside and outside of the manor, and two portable microphones are also available. We recommend that your DJ/band make an appointment to check out the sound system before the event just in case they have any questions. Our onsite wedding specialist is Pat Bailey and she provides many exclusive benefits to renters of the Deer Park Manor. Ceremony Locations HARVEST HALL – is a beautifully decorated building located in a Brown County wooded country setting. The inside location is designed to fit everyone’s needs, completely heated and air conditioned with a romantic fireplace. A large indoor stage provides the ideal setting for an indoor ceremony if the weather is not perfect for an outdoor wedding. The loft area provides a bird’s eye view, and our wooden staircase and the backdrop gives the bride and her party the perfect, breathtaking entrance. A separate room is set aside for the bride and her wedding party's needs. The hall accommodates up to 250 guests. Lake wedding with boats, OUR LAKE affords a truly stunning and unforgettable backdrop, where your reflections seem to last forever. Guests are comfortably seated along the dam overlooking the lake while the bride and groom exchange their vows on the dock with their family and bridal party surrounding them. This picturesque location accommodates wedding parties up to 100. Zip back over the spot where you got married later in the day or save that adventure for your first day as a married couple! OUTSIDE THE HALL there is a grassy area surrounded by woods, perfect for setting up a gazebo or rent our wedding arch. An intimate location for the cozy, small wedding ceremony, providing a great view of the foliage yet provides close access to the restrooms and hall facility. OUTDOOR SHELTER/STAGE will accommodate large wedding parties. The Stage is surrounded by beautiful Brown County forest and is a favorite location for outdoor weddings. Should your plans for an outdoor wedding be interrupted due to the weather, your wedding ceremony can easily be moved into the Harvest Hall. Plan your outdoor ceremony on the stage, but should inclement weather arise, you can move into the heated or air conditioned hall. Our beautiful Harvest Hall is heated or air conditioned, Decorated with rustic antiques and original paintings, the hall comfortably seats 200 and is furnished with tables, chairs, small bar area, stage, dance floor space and a fireplace. The beautiful wooden staircase creates the picture-perfect occasion for a bride’s grand entrance, or wedding party photos. The covered porch can accommodate up to 50 additional guests. There are restrooms with showers and a changing room for the bride. Cater your own event using the prep kitchen to save on catering costs, or let us help with your catering needs. The daily rental fees are $800 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday | $400 Monday through Thursday.. If you are renting the Harvest Hall for a wedding or event and need the hall the night before for the Rehearsal Dinner or an extension of your event, the cost is $400 per day. A non-refundable payment in full is due at the time of booking with a signed contract. Additional rental items are available upon request and payment is due the day of the event. 2016 PRICE LIST Catering... We can assist you in planning your event by offering catered food and beverage services. Alcohol is permitted inside the hall, renter must assume all liability and responsibility and maintain the alcohol in a private setting, and not exposed to the general public. Indiana state laws relating to the distribution and consumption of alcohol must be strictly followed. Valley Branch Retreat is not authorized by the State of Indiana to handle alcoholic beverages.
