About Murphysboro Event Center

The Murphysboro Event Center, formerly known as the Elk’s building was constructed in 1916. Located in Downtown Murphysboro, the Murphysboro Event Center offers a unique, upscale venue for intimate gatherings for as few as 25 people to grand receptions for up to 500 guests. The Murphysboro Event Center features a new 2000 sq. ft. three story addition, with elevator, staircases, lobbies, kitchen, and the newly renovated Cooper Mine Lounge, Great Hall, and Dogwood Ballroom.

My two year olds birthday party was awesome. Enough space to eat and play. The floor we had did have air conditioning.
