The freshly renovated Belushi Performance Hall accommodates nearly 800 audience members with comfortable new seats inside of its beautifully redone theater accented with sapele wood and a gorgeous new aubergine curtain. A new acoustic shell and auto-responsive HVAC system works to eliminate outside noise and extraneous inside noise, making every performance experience more pure and engrossing. The Belushi Performance Hall offers many amenities to enhance any production including state of the art lighting and sound helping shows and events to reach their new and exciting heights.

The Lakeside Pavilion is an entirely new outdoor space, visible from the lobby windows of the Playhouse and Studio Theatres on the beautiful grounds of the MAC. Boasting a gorgeous view of the water and an audience space able to host up to 1,200 people, the Lakeside Pavilion promises to be a welcoming venue for community to gather for a variety of shows and events in the open air. The Patio Stage will be available this summer for concerts, family programming, and for private parties.

For cocktail receptions, casual yet elegant gatherings, or simply overflow space, you’ll love the beautiful sun-filled new lobby and spectacular new Cleve Carney Art Gallery. Made possible by the legacy gift from one of Glen Ellyn’s most revered philanthropists, the late Cleve Carney, a contemporary art collector and supporter the 1,850-square-foot addition on the west side of the McAninch Arts Center offers a one-of-a-kind backdrop for groups up to 300 (150 seated). Marvel at a variety of innovative art by regional, national and international artists, as well as works from his personal contemporary collection, and even talented student exhibits

The MAC’s Playhouse Theatre, a 186-seat space home to the popular Club MAC series, is an ideal and intimate performance space suited to many kinds of performances and events. A beautiful lobby leads into the Playhouse space, which now includes increased accessibility. Despite being a smaller venue than the Belushi Performance Hall, the Playhouse also offers state of the art lighting and sound among other high quality features.

The MAC’s most intimate experiences can be found in the beautiful, newly renovated Studio Theatre, “Black Box” theatre space with flexible seating for up to 70 audience members that can be reconfigured to suit the needs of each particular production.
