Very private meetings - An Eventective User from New York, NY

I met a series of clients for confidential interviews in the Chicago Sheraton last year, and was very pleased with the results. The hotel has a name (at least, in our company) for being a great place to hold events. I know of several folks in the firm who have attended large events in the ballroom there, and they always have good things to say about it. But on this particular occasion, I needed smaller private rooms for separating and interviewing these clients. The Starwood "Executive Meeting Specialist" took our few requests into account, and made sure that our three rooms were not adjoined, were well supplied (with water and the like), and were undisturbed by other meetings or hotel guests. Small requests, but important for our purposes. It wasn't a big job for them (apparently they do weddings?) but was glad that we got all the attention we deserved from their exceptionally responsive staff.

Sheraton Chicago Offers Plenty! - An Eventective User from Elmhurst, IL

The Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Suites was the ideal location for the conference I attended. The large conference, an academic competitive simulation event, was held among the ballrooms on the second floor of the hotel, just located above the lobby. Each room was perfectly suited to the task, and the staff was extremely accomdating in provided beverages and food for the participants of the event. The spaces provided to facilitate check-in and management of the simulation consisted of stations outside the ballrooms, which were ideal as they allowed students to easily ask questions or access conference resources. In addition, the staff during the conference was extremely professional and helpful. Not a single request was ignored or forgotten about, and every detail was meticulously planned and assured by hotel management and staff. Staff that attended to the conference beverages and materials were courteous and prompt with their service, including conference guests needs after the simulation was over for the day.Overall, the meeting experience at the Sheraton was fantastic, and our simulation is already booked to return there again next year! Each ballroom, though differing in size, had the required amount of tables and chairs needed for conference simulation activities, including risers in each room for the podium speakers to utilize. Water coolers were generously provided in each room for conference participants, which is critical in an event like this where so much talking is required. Technical assitance and internet services in the conference area were also excellent, as our simulation required immense printing and internet resources to accomodate the simulation, but the hotel helped in spades in this area. Free wireless internet in the lobby and the hotel cafes was a plus, as it allowed participants to socialize and wind down after hours and facilitated work outsides of the simulation as well.

Sheraton Chicago is Great for Work Functions - An Eventective User from Chicago, IL

Our company has held their annual winter summit and holiday party at the Sheraton Chicago for the past several years. I think it is a great location for events like that. The ballroom and meeting spaces are easily configurable for different purposes, which enabled the company to host everything in one location. The location has a spectacular view of the Chicago River, and it was conveniently located for employees. The staff was very friendly, and the food provided for the party was tasty considering it was banquet food. The company opted for heavy appetizers and party foods like a taco and pasta bar. During the day, lunch buffets were set up between meeting sessions. Shula's Steakhouse made a great private spot for folks to gather between the conference hours and the party. The hotel provided many coat racks for everyone, which was helpful since winter in Chicago requires quite a bit of outerwear. The open bar service was quick and generous, ensuring everyone could focus on having a good time. The chairs available in the meeting rooms and main banquet space were a bit hard, but that is pretty common for venues like this. One thing that might be helpful for the Sheraton to think about for future events is to provide a smoking patio outside near the conference space so smokers are not forced to go to the front of the hotel, disturbing people entering and leaving the hotel. Overall, though, I would recommend this venue to anyone planning a corporate event.

Expensive but Luxurious - An Eventective User from Knoxville, TN

The meeting spaces at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers are wonderful. You couldn't ask for a single thing more. The meeting rooms are spacious, and they scream luxury from the second you walk in the door. These are legitimate upscale meeting rooms, not some shabby extra space turned into a ""meeting room"". They have close to forty rooms available, so the options are endless. The concierge is remarkable and will never let you down. The staff always puts the customer first. They act as if your matters were their own. The staff was quick and eager to help with every need. This Sheraton has an overabundance of staff and managers. A hotel finally gets something right-hire more people than you will actually need, that way no customer will ever go without help. If it isn't clear yet, they have great service! The prices are a little high, but are worth the great quality and service you receive. The conference rooms are luxuriously decorated-for a conference room at least. The entrance is like any other luxury hotel, with valet parking and concierge and service desks. Then the area opens up into a central hub where you can head to an elevator for guestrooms or proceed to the conference rooms. The meeting spaces are professional looking and looks almost like a mini conference center. I would recommend this meeting location for anyone looking for superior quality. It is not a cheap venue, but definitely worth the expense.

Prime Location for Your Meeting - An Eventective User from Port Huron, Michigan

The Chicago Sheraton Towers boasts an amazing array of accommodations, meeting spaces and technology to host any size event. Located a block from the magnificent mile on the Chicago River, there is no better site in all of Metro Chicago for a convention or other business gathering. The hotel has an array of accommodations and hundreds of rooms to fit any taste. Not to mention it houses one of the most famous steakhouses in all of the country, Shula's Steak House. Complete with bell hop service and daily turn down, this site can host high rollers to the average business man or woman. It features a number of rooms for meetings on various levels. Whether you need just a room to hold a dozen people or a couple hundred the Sheraton Towers can handle it with ease. I personally have attended a number of large scale conferences at this venue and have found it to be the best in this realm. I can do everything right at the hotel and many major Chicago attractions are within walking distance, including the famed Navy Pier. I have ordered room service on a number of occasions when too tired to venture out and it was second to none in both speedy service and quality. I have yet to try the pool but have heard good things about it from other conference goers. There is not only paper and electronic signboards available in the lobby to check out the conference schedules but a channel on all tv's dedicated to it as well. Every time this venue pops up on my schedule I am eager to get back to the heart of Chicago no matter what the material being covered is. Also be sure to check out the riverfront walk located below the hotel. Right next door is a quaint little Irish Pub that I have enjoyed many a nights at.
