7/31/2008 | | "Response to last review", ticaellijay from Ellijay, Georgia | In response to the last review.. The guest called and asked me if I found her camera at the cabin. We did not find it and I told the guest that I would send a housekeeper up to the cabin again to look for it. The camera was left OUTSIDE the cabin. I told the guest that there is a charge of $25.00 plus shipping to return the camera. This covers the gas and time I have to pay for a housekeeper to go out to the cabin a second time, also for the shipping of the camera. After all I have to close my office to go to the Post Office to ship it out and pay for the bubble wrap to ship it in. The guests husband called my office and was very nasty on the phone telling me he was going to write negative reviews if we charged them the $25.00. Then the wife called back and gave me authorization to charge her card for the return of the camera. The camera was returned. Owner/Manager |
| 7/30/2008 | | "Unprofessional, inhospitable", AngryCanadian from Atlanta, Georgia | After staying at the cabin for two nights, I left my camera at the property. After calling, I was told I would be charged a $25 fee, plus shipping, in order to have it sent back.
My husband called to ask they not make the charges, and was told he would get a call back with an answer. 1 week later, no call back was made and the camera was not shipped.
I would never do business with this group or affiliates again. There are plenty of options in this area, and I'd rather go with someone who treated me with a personal touch and not like just another paycheck.
Also, in a cabin of five girls, they left one roll of toilet paper. We stayed at Serenity Pines. |
