Beautiful ""Old Timey"" Wedding Site, An Eventective User from Columbus, GA

I got married at The Rankin event center on Broadway in downtown Columbus, Georgia. The wedding was at the end of May 2007, and was the most magical day of my life. The Rankin has that ""old timey"" rustic-feel with the indoor brickwork and exposed beams. We did the ceremony in the Atrium which has the most beautiful covered walkway that the bridesmaids and myself walked up through, with a glass ceiling that is several stories up so that you get the feeling of being outdoors without the Georgia heat! We did our reception in the Courtyard, which was mostly shaded by stunning hundred-year old trees. We had about 150 guests and both the Atrium and Courtyard were the perfect size space for our guestlist. The office staff was also incredible. Weddings are very stressful times for brides, and they went above and beyond to keep it as relaxed and stress-free as possible. I was able to rent the chairs and tables right there at the facility, so I didn't have to worry with having them delivered and returned, and they even set all the chairs up for me based on a diagram that I drew for them. They did all of the confirmations with me the week before, which saved me the trouble of having to contact them. I was very reasonably priced, and they didn't charge us to come up the night before to do a quick rehearsal/walk-through. The Rankin in in some way affiliated with Columbus State University, which being an Columbus State alumni was just an added bonus for me, and would be for many other brides to have the opportunity to support our alma mater! Since my wedding, I have attended another wedding and a holiday party their, both of which were just as incredible as mine. I would HIGHLY recommend The Rankin for your wedding!! You will not be disappointed!!!
