Both the Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park, located on Piedmont Avenue in Midtown Atlanta, should be mentioned together where it regards wedding plans, as these venues seem like one in the same. Having your wedding at the Botanical Gardens, will eliminate the need to hire an expensive florist for decorations. But another great thing about the Botanical Gardens is that couples have a few options with regard to where to hold their ceremonies. For instance, the Japanese Garden and Tea House has been specifically designated for commitment and marriage ceremonies. But the wedding parties held here must be extremely small. In fact, there is room for only 10 people at one time. But for $500, couples and their (few) loved ones will get to have a sublime and holistic experience. The Fragrance Garden, also for standing ceremonies, can be rented for half that price. However, the Exhibit Hall and RoseGarden are main wedding favorites for engaged couples, as there is room for tenting and space for guests at the reception. The Rose Garden PiedmontPark, another breathtaking location for a wedding. The park itself contains many different venue options as well. One of the most scenic locations in the park is the Clara Meer pier. Overlooking the lake is a walkway surrounded by a lush patch of greenery, perfect for accommodating at least 200 guests. The people, the pictures, and the day will be memorable and treasured at Atlanta's Botanical Gardens. Well worth the cost, the staff at the gardens are very knowledgeable about staging wedding scenes, and what will work for your special day. Simply let them know your colors and your theme. The gardens are centrally located, easy to find, and ample parking is a plus. This is the best location in Atlanta for a picture perfect wedding day. Word of advice: Book Early! Imagine walking into the most beautiful garden that you have ever seen. Surrounded by the most vibrant colors, and the most tranquil feelings of nature, what more could a bride want. He stands at the end of a walkway lined with the prettiest flowers on earth. The fragrances are very strong, but in a light way. Tickling your nose, making you giggle like he did on your first date. The aroma surrounds you, and envelopes you as you float down the aisle to forever. The flowers will make you feel like a princess, waking to your true love's kiss. It is absolutely breathtaking, seeing the many species of plants that exist here on Earth. You will see so many different colors. Colors that you did not know existed. If asked how many colors there are in the world, one might say "infinite". A fitting word as one prepares for a lifetime commitment. Defined as: unlimited or immeasurable in extent of space, duration of time, etc.: boundless; endless: God's infinite mercy. An infinite rainbow is what you will experience at the gardens.

Possibly one of my favorite places to attend meetings at is the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. They offer a multitude of meeting room styles varying from personal settings that can accommodate only eight people all the way to meeting rooms that can accommodate 300! The meeting rooms are very nice and accommodate most needs, not to mention the spectacular floor to ceiling windows that really accentuate the area. My meeting was in the Hardin Conference Room and luckily was scheduled for noon, so we were able to have a nice catered lunch there and then walk around the garden which really topped off the meeting. While walking around I did happen to ask one of the employees there what the other meeting rooms were like and they kindly escorted me to their largest room which was Day Hall. This room was spectacular and the woman also told me that the decor went along with the green theme all the way to the organic lighting they had. I could easily see a conference being held here. They also have the option of having meeting outdoors for the more adventurous clients. But do not be fooled, this location is not just for the nature lovers. It also has a very posh outdoor kitchen area that could be a place to host some sort of food demonstrations if that is your line of work. They have a cafeteria inside the garden also which helps for the business people who are running late to the meeting and don't have time to stop at a restaurant downtown, find parking, etc. Overall I would say that the Atlanta Botanical Gardens really cater to the needs of any type of conference. The rooms they have might not be traditional conference rooms, but if you are really trying to shine new light on your meeting this location is a home run.

Love Among the Flowers - An Eventective User from Columbus, GA

A close friend of my family was married at the Atlanta Botanical Garden last summer, and the scene was nothing less than perfect. He asked me to help out with some of the wedding logistics, so I was able to interact with the staff and see the grounds well in advance of the event. Needless to say, the Botanical Gardens are nothing less than spectacular - a perfect venue for a perfect day. They have great facilities, areas for receptions, and many places for photo opportunities. The pictures from the wedding are absolutely beautiful! My friend's wedding took place at the Alston Overlook and most of the wedding guests could see the backdrop of downtown Atlanta in the background of the ceremony. It was almost as if we got away from the distant hustle and bustle of the city to participate in what ended up being a beautiful ceremony. As for the people, we couldn't have asked for better staff. The Botanical Gardens has connections with many local catering companies. My friend's wedding was catered by Sun in my Belly, which offered a great-tasting meal with lots of options for my vegetarian girlfriend and carnivorous parents alike. The food also looked fantastic: as an artist, I was more than impressed by the visual presentation, especially given the variety of colors that were swirling all around us. The food, the flowers, and the afternoon were cast in hues of green, pink, blue, and purple. I must admit, the whole affair was quite romantic, and when I find the right girl, I just might ask her to marry me at the Botanical Gardens.
