The Winter Park Public Library is accepting applications for artists who would like to exhibit their art as part of its continuing Community Room revolving art display during 2007. Artists’ work will be displayed in the Library’s Community Room for one-month periods. Past art displays have included mosaics, oil painting, watercolor, photography, glass wall hangings, quilts and mixed media. All art must be able to hang safely from the walls. The Library does not compensate artists for the displays, but it does provide artists with the opportunity to expose new audiences to their art, as well as allows the artists to hold receptions in the Community Room during the exhibition period. All Library Internet terminals are filtered in compliance with federal requirements. Additional age-appropriate filtering is offered on young adult computers and terminals for children. However, parents are strongly encouraged to use the Internet with their children and young adults.
The Winter Park Public Library offers a full range of services in our 33,000 square-foot facility. The Library is open to the public 68 hours a week, seven days a week.
