Jim Stem has been a photojournalist since 1980. After working as a staff photographer for two major daily Florida newspapers he created Jim Stem Photography based in Tampa. Jim is a skilled and affordable photojournalist, documenting weddings, Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, beach portraits and others, providing you with those unique moments in time. Jim currently freelances for domestic and international clients throughout Florida, including the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. Jim has received many awards during his 28 years as a photojournalist including numerous clip contests from the National Press Photographers Association, awards from the Florida Association of Newspapers Editors, NPPA Photographer of the Year finalist, and a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize. Jim is a versatile and experienced document-style photographer who is proficient with 35mm digital and creative location lighting. Accepting a wide variety of events, corporate and news assignments throughout Florida, Jim is a seasoned location photojournalist who can handle assignments on a deadline.
