 5/15/2012 | | "Professional and Spacious Meeting Venue", An Eventective User from Dallas, Texas | | The Peabody Orlando located in Orlando, Florida is a great place for any meeting venue. Firstly, it is located in a great area. It is located in downtown Orlando, so it is near to public transit, hotels, and entertainment options such as restaurants and bars for out of town guests to enjoy. Furthermore, it is located near the financial district of the city, so it is the best of both worlds. Secondly, the Peabody offers great meeting packages. This includes a continental breakfast and the potential to cater for lunch and dinner as well. These rooms that are rented also are variable. There are small roundtable meeting rooms and large lecture halls as well. These come stocked with standard notepads and pens along with water. Also, there is a great technology package that comes with the rental that includes a variety of new equipment. The equipment includes projectors as well as appropriate cording and hook ups. Finally, the staff is friendly and considerate. They do a great job of stocking the rooms, keeping the food warm, and directing guests to the appropriate location. Furthermore, the price is fantastic. The rooms are priced by the hour or by the day, at the request of the renter. However, there is generally a long wait list for the rooms because it is a very in demand area. So, spontaneous meetings generally cannot be held here in a short time frame. Also, the establishment tends to be very strict, so professional behavior is not only encouraged but required so it is not very appropriate for more laid back meetings. |
|  5/15/2012 | | "First Class Meeting Spaces and Service!", An Eventective User from Tampa, Florida | | We had an executive-level group meeting that needed to be just perfect for a new product launch. After lots of searching, we came across the Peabody and their very professional event managers. This was no easy task because our group consisted of VIPs (high need individuals) from across our company. Each with first-class expectations and this meeting would be no exception. Since the Peabody expert staff made us feel right at home we began layering on a very long list of meeting "must haves" as well as gathering information about the hotel and nearby area so that the meeting attendees would be well informed during their stay. We were extremely excited to book a larger meeting room which we never imagined would be in our budget especially with many different perks which are luxury items at other venues. We were constantly asked how else to improve the experience. Our VIP guests commented several times on how well things were going and how they enjoyed the accommodations carefully selected by our planning committee and with guidance from the Peabody's team. Some meeting planners believe the Peabody is a bit on the pricey side but I think you definitely get what you pay for especially in the mixed bag of places that exist in Orlando. We highly recommend the Peabody as the meeting place of choice in Orlando. Even their signature duck march was enjoyed by our board of directors. If you can please them, well, you can please just about anybody needing a great meeting place or hotel. Thanks again Peabody. We'll definitely be back! |
