Welcome to the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center. The Shakespeare Center is a 50,000 sq ft. building located in Loch Haven Cultural Park in downtown Orlando. The center houses our indoor theaters, box office, rehearsal halls, dressing rooms, costume and scene shops, offices and meeting rooms, plus additional room for two other local arts groups.

As you enter through the Archway, you are greeted by a cascading water fountain and sculpture of "The Sirens." Step out to the Darden Courtyard or take a stroll through our Gift Shop before seeing a show. The Lobby features our beautiful Donor's Wall with its uniquely themed donor levels based on actual donors to Shakespeare's theater and featuring a life size portrait of Queen Elizabeth.

Our vision is to create theater of extraordinary quality that encourages the actor/audience relationship, embraces the passionate use of language, and ignites the imagination. Our goal is to be a nationally recognized destination theater offering productions and education year round for all audiences.

We value professionalism, creativity, fiscal responsibility, positive audience experience, accessibility, and community enrichment.
