"Historic Mansion in Convenient Dupont Circle", An Eventective User from Washington, DC
A perfect spot for smaller meetings, the historic mansion that houses The Woman's National Democratic Club is conveniently located one block from Dupont Circle and one block from a Metro stop, in a commercial and residential area well-served by hotels. The elegant late 19th century mansion is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Nine rooms of varying sizes and a brick-paved garden make The Whittemore House ideal for small to medium-sized meetings. Each room is decorated with antique furniture and memorabilia reflecting Washington's history.

The largest room, the Stevenson Room, accommodates up to 192 people seated at tables and 240, seated theater style. The garden opens off of this large space, as does the kitchen.

The upstairs ""Q Street Pub" room can accommodate up to 100 theater style. Smaller rooms provide a sense of history and charm. Marjorie Merriweather Post donated money to renovate the original drawing room, now known as the Post Drawing Room, which can sat 20 people. Using all rooms, the house is large enough for about 350 people standing.

For business meetings, the club offers quality audio-visual services and high speed Internet access.

The Club is also a museum, with special art exhibitions displayed throughout the year.

Club rules require that an event or meeting be sponsored by a member, but an event host may become an individual member.
